What is Art Therapy

Through the process of art-making, we can explore our own thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental way, exploring our emotions that are sometimes difficult to discuss.

I will encourage you to be curious in wanting to learn more about yourself and your relationships with others. Through this exploration, we can then understand how to interact with other people better in a safe and calming environment.

Art therapy sessions will be tailored to your needs, using the following approaches:

Psychodynamic Approach
Using art to let the emergence of the unconscious through a non-directed approach, where the individual takes the lead.

Psychoeducation Approach
A more collaborative approach, where I will share my knowledge to help you have a better understanding in past trauma, help address illnesses or mental health conditions.

Mentalization Approach
How we see our own emotions, thoughts and feelings in conjunction with emotions, thoughts and feelings of others. Working towards on improving communication, interactions and relationships with others.
